Action #1: Thank MP Sven Spengemann for Raising Concern about Anti-Muslim Attacks in India

Action #2: Thank MP Salma Zahid for Presenting E-Petition on Discriminatory Indian Citizenship Bills

And ask the Foreign Minister to categorically condemn Modi bills & RSS violence

TALKING POINTS

  • Recent attacks on Indian Muslim civilians are not isolated incidents and are part of ongoing aggression against 200 million indigenous Muslims, as well as Dalits and other minorities.
  • The toxic and divisive RSS ideology, of which Modi was a member, currently rules the nation, runs judiciary, and controls police. Its primary goal is to transform India into a Hindutva nation.
  • The Anti-CAA protests by thousands of students over the past 3 months have been consistently peaceful, which were met with brutal force by police and RSS mobs.
  • Canada must immediately act to: 1) Categorically condemn anti-Muslim violence; 2) Urge Indian PM to prevent more civilian and student lives being lost, ensure protection of minorities, and reverse the unconstitutional CAA bill.

Take Action!

  3. Ask the Honourable Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne to
    • condemn the attacks and Modi government’s failure to protect minorities
    • ask the Modi Government to: 1) stop the attacks against peaceful protesters immediately; 2) enforce protection of civilians; 3) and arrest criminals responsible for recent violence

Asian Islamophobia: Heading Towards an Endgame

"As part of the genocidal process the world has witnessed in Myanmar, Central Africa, Kashmir, and Uganda, it begins by labeling the target groups as 'foreigners, disloyal, pests,'" said Taha Ghayyur, the Executive Director of Justice for All Canada.

"In the case of persecuted Muslim minorities, the easiest way to control the narrative is to label all Muslims 'terrorists, extremists and separatists.'"
