Honoring Each Other's Religious Rights

By Umm Ahmed

Ramadan is a very busy time and it gets busier as we approach the last 10 nights. Parents may be feeling the burn out of juggling multiple responsibilities at work, home, and school, while also trying to increase opportunities for worship. There can be additional pressures related to defined gender roles. By acknowledging and addressing these differences with empathy and understanding, parents can work together to create a more inclusive and supportive environment at home and within the community, where everyone can observe their religious duties with dignity and ease.

Reflecting on Ramadan

“We are reintroduced to what it truly means to worship Allah (SWT). In that process, we rediscover over and over again a fundamental fact: there is nothing sweeter than worshipping Allah (SWT). There is no feeling on earth that can leave you as fulfilled and as happy and as productive as worshipping Allah.”

Dr. Yasir Qadhi, Will You be a Better Person After Ramadan?
