Learning to read, memorize, and recite the Quran is an important goal for every Muslim. Learning the Quran without also nurturing a love for it, is shortsighted, however. While we may give children some skills at recitation, it will not help them to respect the guidance of the Quran which is the ultimate purpose of its revelation.

When to Start with Arabic Language Training

Truly, Arabic is a blessed language, for it was in Arabic that the final divine scripture was revealed. To fully understand the beauty of the Quran, the wisdom of the Prophetic teachings, and by default, our very faith, it becomes necessary to learn Arabic and teach it to our children.   • The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by the Angel Jibril over the course of 23 years. 
  • It has a total of 114 surahs or chapters. 
  • It is divided into 30 parts or juz.
  • 86 (75.4%) of the surahs were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in Mecca and 28 (24.6%) chapters were revealed in Madina.
  • There are 6,236 total ayaat or verses.
  • There are a total of 99,464 words in the Quran, containing 330,113 letters.
  • The guidance in the Quran was sent to all of mankind and remains unchanged since its revelation.

Animals Love Quran - This is a beautiful English nasheed by the popular Canadian singer and songwriter Dawud Wharnsby. Using nasheeds is a nice way to surround your child with affirming messages about Allah and our religion.

Adam’s World Club classes target children ages 4-7. Creative hosts engage students with games, stories, songs, art and movement activities, cooking demonstrations and more! Live online classes take place Monday-Thursday from 4-4:30pm EDT. 

Colors of Islam Club classes target children ages 8-12. Host teachers provide instruction on Islamic basics and challenge students to apply these lessons to everyday life. Live online classes take place every Saturday from 12-1:30pm EDT.
