Are Our Children Addicted to Sugar?

As Muslims, we know we should avoid substances that negatively affect our health. We are, for example, prohibited from drinking alcohol and taking recreational drugs. However, there is one particular substance that is completely halal but potentially dangerous. It can be found almost everywhere we go and nowadays it is incorporated into nearly everything we eat. Making a habit of physical exercise early in life can have a long-lasting impact on children. Most healthy and well-nourished youngsters already have the energy they need. They only require a safe environment to expend those reserves. Adult caregivers (including parents, grandparents, and teachers) can help guide children to take part in activities that include movement.
