The Importance of Teaching our Children about Strong Women

By Umm Ahmed

“Strong women” are often seen as threatening. Writer Umm Ahmed wants to help dispel that myth and stereotype by taking a look at what makes a woman strong. When a strong woman sets out to raise her children, she can have a powerful and positive influence on their lives, helping them to develop into confident, independent, and compassionate individuals. Muslim mothers must lean into the teachings of Islam and reflect on the importance of adorning a strong character.

Islamic Lessons from My Non-Muslim Mom

By Melissa Barreto

When writer Melissa Barreto converted to Islam, her mother struggled for a long time to understand and support her choice. And, Alhamdulillah, all praise and thanks is to Allah alone, there were rewards to come from those efforts.
